March 10, 2016 marks the 75th anniversary of the Strand Theater fire in Brockton. On that day in 1941, thirteen firefighters were killed in one of the most disastrous burning building collapses in the country. Each year a ceremony is held at Brockton City Hall to honor the firefighters whose lives were lost in this tragedy. The Brockton Firefighters Pipes & Drums participate in the ceremony each year. This year two of our members, Firefighter Jim Reidy and Firefighter Sean Peters participated in the ceremony.
