The Sachem Rock Regional Emergency Planning Council (SRREPC) has announced the next Citizen Corps/Community Emergency Response Team training. This free training program is open to residents age
18+ of Bridgewater, East Bridgewater, West Bridgewater, Hanson, Halifax, Raynham and Whitman. The 10-week program will be held Thursday evenings from 6:30-9:00 pm starting February 8th. All classes will be held on the campus of Bridgewater State University. The training will provide the skills necessary to help protect your family, your neighbors and the community at large when disaster strikes.
Training is led by industry professionals and first responders with hands-on, real-life experience in the following topics:
- Disaster Preparedness
- Fire Safety & Suppression
- Search & Rescue
- First Aid & CPR
- Incident Command
- Disaster Psychology
- Communications
- HazMat Safety
- Terrorism
- Emergency Preparedness
Upon completion of the training, trainees will become members of the regional Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
